Help us get orders for Christmas 2021

This year the hospital Auxiliary will create a special waiting room in Emergency call The Kid Kave.  In the past, with the help of the Victoria Hospitals Foundation, the Vic General Auxiliary has purchased a $7,500 blanket warmer for our babies, an $11,000 stretcher for Emergency, a $7,000 treadmill for Neuro Rehab, Biliblankets and a Bilirubin meter for jaundiced premies, improved the room in the ambulatory lab for children with Virtual Reality, a mobile, and a mural painted by local artists. The way we paid for them is by selling Christmas plants.

Bulk orders for institutions, businesses, seniors' clubs, and churches were being delivered thanks to our sponsor Incredible Closets and with some flexibility on dates as will deliveries to businesses and professional offices. If you know places which usually buy plants, perhaps you can encourage them to buy from the Auxiliary this year to support our current campaign.

This year, besides providing The Kid Kave, our charitable gift will be called Emergency Room Santa.  Your gift will provide a poinsettia for Christmas for the Emergency workers and Security personnel.

As you know, the plants are THE BEST in Victoria.  Grown at Hilltop Greenhouses, a local business, the poinsettias, and planters are economical, strong, beautiful, long-lasting, and well wrapped.  We will have an interesting selection.  I feel confident offering this product to any company or institution as well as your friends and neighbours.

People can make purchases from this site or pick up an order form in the hospital shop in September.  You will see reasonable prices.  We'll have them ready for pick-up or delivery for you.  Pick-up is near Vic General Friday the last weekend of November.  This year's committee is Val Smith, Jeff Hayes, Mary Ann Foekkama, Doris Burow, Janice Knight, Nancy Turley, and Howard Smith.  ORDERING DEADLINE IS mid-NOVEMBER.
